Very true, Crab. I think you summed it up nicely in another post saying the highlights were Alan Wake and Uncharted 2.

I think both Microsoft and Sony achieved their goals for E3 - to give their respective gamers something unique to look forward to. In that regard, then they are both winners.

No comment about Nintendo.

You last post actually presented some valid points, however, allow me to retort.

1. Bukake is seen as a fetish. Just because it originated from Japan, does not indicate that the sexual culture there is any worse than the rest of the world. Unless you would like to present proof that bestiality (and all the other sick fetishes out there) originated from Japan too. Did porn originate from Japan, too?

2. A molester is generally regarded in western culture as a male that...

Well put, Cmrbe. Bubbles. This is a discussion about stereotyping cultures with selective logic, not about individual consoles of preference as someone above tried to make out.

I spent a year in Japan studying under their education system, and I returned there for a visit not 6 months ago. During such, I have never witnessed any TV program that screened on public channels depicting what you described. In fact, if you have been there in the past year, you would know that Japanese "game shows" have rapidly declined in popularity.

In addition, you have missed my point. Suppose if I witness some particularly "disturbing" German pornograp...

Judging by your first comment, I suspect you have never actually been to Japan and experienced their culture firsthand. If you had, then you would well know they are far from "sick perverts", as you claim.

I would kindly recommend you travel the world a bit more with an open mind, before presenting stereotypical perceptions of cultures you don't understand like they are facts.

Take it easy, buddy. My point was directed at your original comment, and still stands - that there is a difference between the time from development to release, and the time from announcement to release.

"Killzone 2 began development in 2004"

When a game begins development and when it is officially announced to the public are two different things, mate.

Much like Call Of Duty 7 is already in development. Doesn't mean it has been revealed to the public, or when it comes out people say "it was announced back at the start of 2009"...

EDIT: You edited your comment to add the 'revealed' bit. I think you noticed what I did.

Very well put, Unicron. Bubbles.

I think it is sad that much of the gaming community is hesitant to embrace new ideas such as Heavy Rain. I can see what David Cage is trying to achieve, when he says there is a lack of games that connects with an adult audience.

Im not saying Heavy Rain is the next greatest thing in gaming. More, it is time to actually welcome departures from the same rehashed game with different clothes on: Gears 2, Killzone 2, Halo 3 etc... Those ga...

Cutting ties with suppliers isn't an uncommon thing. Essentially, it is an attempt to consolidate your supply chain network, as n4gn4gn4g stated, usually for the purpose of increasing the relationship with the remaining suppliers.

I.e. the remaining few suppliers now have access to contracts to cover additional materials required by production (that was previously covered by other suppliers) - thus it is in their interest to bid for the available contracts.

Such an a...

I agree. Sev, your site is doing excellent things, we appreciate your hard work.

But please do not let the arrogance take over. Jumping up and down and shouting "We told you so!" will lose you almost as much credibility as fake news. When the time comes, put the news out and let others do the talking for you. Actions speak louder than words, after all.

Despite the rough translation, there are a few interesting hints there:

"We work on, also weather changes which can affect a running to copy. And also damage to we soon to simulate can." - Simulated damage?

Some fair points you have there. Indeed, this level of rivalry does not belong in this industry... and yet, it depicts the very stereotype of brand loyalty. And for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction... in order for someone to defend a console, be it a PS3 or 360, someone had to have attacked it in the first place.

Bubbles, RealSpy02. Its a welcome change to have a thought-provoking conversation around here.

No one is denying that on this particular site, there is a clear majority of pro-PS3 supporter that are very vocal, I made that clear. I cannot name this army of PS3 trolls, primarily because I do not read any 360 news - but I do notice who approves negative PS3 stories, or the occasional baiting posts in the comments, an example of which I posted above.

But it takes two sides to fight a war, RealSpy02. Your comments may hold truth, but for every hypocrisy committed by PS3 fans, ...

Does the names TheMart@xboxkings, Power of Green, Bloodmask, LighteningPS3 and Icewake ring a bell?

Do not infer that there are no 360 supporters active on this site. There always have been, and always will be, fanboys on either side - I consider neither side is better than one another. Yes, currently there is a majority of PS3 supporters on this site, and I sympathise with 360 gamers on this. Nasim for one, the very reason I believe N4G should investigate IP blocking.

"you have absolutely 0 ability to criticize constructively even when it's well deserved."

Perhaps you might wish to look at yourself in the mirror for a change, Sumguy82.

I wasn't aware that Nathan was regarded as a particularly cliché character - one would imagine that quiet, generic tough-guy space marines are all the rage these days. A quick look through some of the reviews of Uncharted and you would notice the majority of reviewers are praising the...

I find it rather amusing that you claim your "issues... are pretty much mirrored by most reputable review sites", yet a quick look through some of the reviews on MetaCritic (which you brought up, incidentally) reveal descriptions such as "brilliant storyline", "fantastic story and script" etc... I would love to know how your opinion of a "bland storyline" is mirrored by "reputable review sites".

Maybe IGN with their description th...

Interesting article, XboxOZ360. However, I would like to point a couple of things out.

First, I would refrain from tarnishing all Sony fanboys with the same "idiot" brush; such is not helping your credibility. Many would consider themselves to be as educated and mature as those that write for your site, and are aware that you cover positive news for the PS3 community as well as the 360 (MGS4 etc.).

Having said that, CaseyRyback_CPO does have a point, even i...
